THE BIGGER PICTURE
Phil Parkinson’s side have endured the odd wobble over recent weeks, and were in danger of dropping more precious points during a trip to Colchester. WHAT COWLEY SAID ABOUT WREXHAM
There were plenty of smiles in the Wrexham camp at the final whistle, but Cowley has told of how Colchester had the Welsh outfit rattled during a nervy encounter between two sides battling at opposing ends of the division: “Do you know what – at half-time, they were fighting between themselves in our tunnel, because we stood up to them. We’d really competed with them and they had no answer and they’re a good team with really good players. But they win two ways – they win through bullying you or through individual brilliance. That’s the two ways that they win. We just needed to keep playing but we didn’t.”
